We're Hiring
Apparel Design Intern, Summer 2026
About the role
We’re hiring an Apparel Design Intern for the summer to lead the design of one to two new Andy products from concept to production-ready. This isn’t a shadow-someone internship: you’ll own the work. By the end of the internship, your designs will be ready to manufacture. That means research, design files, samples, and a completed tech pack.
You’ll also assist in the day-to-day operations of the brand, which may include some combination of the following: meeting with manufacturers and potential strategic partners, fulfilling online orders, product marketing, and developing brand strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Research athletic apparel trends and identify design opportunities for new Andy products
- Analyze top-performing styles across Andy and competitor brands
- Design one to two original apparel pieces that align with the Andy aesthetic
- Manage the full design to production process: concept, iteration, sampling, and tech pack completion
- Work directly with the founder to refine direction and sign off on decisions
- Support day-to-day operations including order fulfillment, customer support, and content creation
What We're Looking For
- Rising senior or recent graduate in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field
- A portfolio of apparel design work from your college program (required)
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience creating technical flats and tech packs
- Familiarity with CLO 3D or Browzwear is a plus
- Comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel for spec documentation
- Self-starter who can manage your own time and deliverables
- Passion for activewear, the LGBTQ+ community, and brands that are doing something different
